Bathing, hydrating and changing diapers - Tips for every mommy.
Yes! I have a baby, and my dream finally came true. I feel like I am in heaven when I hold my baby in my arms but I am also anxious and I have so many questions about my baby's daily care. I asked my mom for some tips and I want to share the tips with you.
1. Bathing
It's time to relax. There is no need to give the baby a bath every day. You can give your little miracle a bath 2-3 times a week, as long as the diaper remains clean. Bathing your baby too much can dry out your baby's skin. If your baby seems to like water, use bath time as playtime. Splash around gently and let the baby play in the water. If you end up staying in bath for a while, you need to add more warm water. Run the cold first to avoid scalding your baby and make sure you add warm but not hot water. You can also try a bath pillow. Sometimes I try to distract my baby by singing a song.
It's very important to use products that are friendly to a baby's skin.
- Nails: Baby nails are very soft but sometimes they scratch their skin. There are special scissors with a rounded tip that you can buy online to cut your baby's nails.
Extra tip: The right time to cut a baby's nails is after bath or when the baby sleeps because the little hands are relaxed.
2. Diaper change
I change my baby's diapers at least 8 times a day. Change the diaper on time in order to prevent irritation. Change the diaper very carefully.
-Very important: Don't forget to apply the diaper cream to keep the baby's skin smooth and prevent irritation.
3. Hydration
Massaging a baby has a host of positive effects – it helps strengthen muscles, helps relax the baby, and also makes the bond between the mom and the baby stronger. Apart from these, one of the most significant benefits of massaging a baby is that it also keeps her skin soft and hydrated! Set some time aside every day for this little bonding activity, especially after a bath.
Remember: A baby's daily care is a unique moment that brings the baby close to the parents.
